...like we needed a reason to have pancakes for supper. matt insisted on us waiting for him to get home, so that he could make the pancakes. well, okay then.
today was a busy day.... anna pearl had an appointment in kingston with an ear specialist.... it was a great and informative appointment. he removed both of her ear tubes (which we had been told by other doctors that they had fallen out) and removed huge chunks of wax from both ears. this is normally painful for most, but she was a trooper. when the dr. asked her if it hurt... she said..... well, it kinda feels like when someone tries to pull gum out of your hair....lol!
as for her hearing... it is in the normal range and her speech is something that we will work on in private speech therapy. he said there is absolutely nothing wrong with her sounding like she has a "boston accent" and that if she were british... she would have perfect articulation. so that was all that anna needed to hear... she has decided that she will adopt an english accent and all will be good. she makes me laugh!
on our way home from kingston i got a call from the school that ben had hurt his elbow playing soccer. they were quite concerned and felt that he needed to go to the hospital. when i arrived at the school, they had his arm in a sling and he was sitting with adison's e.a....... colleen. colleen is a godsend. she is so good and supportive with adison and ben thinks that she is so kind. when we got home he told me that i should call the school and tell them that mrs. mitchell is the best. i decided that we probably didn't need to visit the dr. or the hospital.... his elbow is swollen and sore, but i think he is gonna be okay. especially with all of the tlc that daddy administered when he got home. did i mention that my husband makes pancakes too!!!!
