our easter celebrations started on good friday with an easter brunch at my moms. this is the second year in a row that we have traded turkey for quiche and i think it is safe to say that it is now our easter tradition. and mom of course made her traditional bunny cake... like she has since we were little girls. aunt beth and uncle ron joined us too and it was a nice relaxing day!
it was a little on the cold side, but that didn't stop the kids from getting outside and trying out their new kites. i am not sure who had more fun... dede or the kids!
in the afternoon we went home and made some easter buttons for anna's biking gang... the kids loved them and they were so easy to make!
sunday morning the kids were up at 7:30 to see what the easter bunny had brought. adi actually tried to get us up at 6 am but we managed to hold her off a little. she was so excited this year and couldn't wait to get downstairs.
of course the hunt is always the fun part...
but then again, so is the eating part...
sunday afteroon we headed up to kingston to celebrate easter with the macdonald's... scott and liseanne treated us to deep fried turkey and we also celebrated anna's birthday.
on monday, the kids spent most of the day outside with friends. matt and i did some much needed yard work; we put up the badminton net, made plans for the fence we are going to build and i managed to get a little trip to the mall in as well.
a perfect little easter weekend.
