every summer my kids look forward to spending time at my stepmom's trailer. it is in a little trailer park not to far from here, on the trent river. the kids love to visit and play on the water trampoline, have bonfires, go tubing, meet new friends, ride on the golf cart and hang out with their mam-ma.
for the second year in a row, mam-ma invited anna pearl out to the trailer to spend a few days/nights with her step-cousin kyanna who lives in toronto. they have lots of fun together... so much fun that ben decided to join them for a couple of nights. and they learned to play "chase the ace"... a card game that kept them busy until late into the night.
when i went to pick anna pearl and benny up, i brought along a picnic basket full of egg salad sandwiches, lemonade and fresh blueberries and whipped cream.
which gigi especially enjoyed!
while adi preferred to relax in the hammock.
while i normally miss the kids terribly while they are away, i really enjoyed some quiet time with adi. and i wasn't chomping at the bit to go and get anna pearl and ben, as i knew that they were having such a great time. so great, that ben decided to stay for another couple of nights with mam-ma so that he could go golfing with some friends. yep, trailer living is just his style!
